Compliance surveys will make sure that things are in the right place. This is often needed for Council certificates and Council sign-off. Examples of compliance surveys are:
- Set out surveys are done before construction and enable the builders to build in the correct place and with the correct finished floor level.
- As-built surveys show the position of buildings, drainage, or services.
- Daylight Angle surveys show building height in relation to the boundary. These surveys prove to Council that a new building complies with the Resource Consent and Council planning rules that protect a neighbour’s sunlight and ensures that a neighbouring building does not overhang your site.
